For over fifteen years, we have been proving that tourism can heal rather than harm. Every experience we offer strengthens the ecosystems we share.
In 2009, after two decades working in conservation science, our founders asked themselves: why do most people feel disconnected from nature when it surrounds us everywhere?
The answer was access — not physical access, but meaningful access. The kind that transforms casual observers into committed stewards. The kind that shifts how you see a hedge, a pond, a patch of wildflowers.
Whisper Escape began as a single woodland retreat in Shropshire. Today, we operate across twelve sites nationwide, each chosen for its ecological significance and restoration potential. What started as an experiment became a model for regenerative tourism.
We never extract value from a landscape without returning more than we take. Every programme is designed around what the land needs, not just what guests want.
Our ecological consulting meets academic standards. Our retreats are shaped by evidence about what actually changes behaviour. We measure what matters.
Local landowners, wildlife trusts, and rural communities are partners, not resources. Their knowledge shapes every programme we design.
We publish our carbon footprint, our conservation outcomes, and our financial flows annually. Greenwashing has no place in ecological work.
Ecologists, educators, and conservation practitioners united by a shared vision for Britain's wild places.
